England in the Fall

Keith's brother, Steve, and our friend, Dawna, went with us to England in November 2006. It was a really fun time including some amazing driving on the wrong side of the road by Dawna. We saw Spamalot from the way high and back, cheap seats and Tim Curry was out sick. Oh man, what kind of luck is that? Oh just wait, the next night we had tickets for Wicked. So excited because Idina Mendez was appearing as Elphaba and she is amazing and I was the only one who had seen her in NYC. What? She was out sick too. How is that possible? Such disappointment until the understudy, Kerry Ellis, started singing. WOW! We have a new favorite and learned to see understudies as positive things sometimes.

A Weekend in Scotland

In order to get me to Gold on Delta Airlines we planned a quick weekend to Scotland...crazy, I know. However, we had an amazing time and didn't suffer from too much jet lag. Keith had is first Magnum icecream bar. Yummy! Other hightlights included the castle ruins of Craigmiller.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming - Honeymoon 2006

Our honeymoon was a driving trip from our home in Utah to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Our favorite outing was a fun float down the Snake River, learning about rivers and how they evolve as well as the local flora and fauna.

Our first trip together - Washington, D.C.

Our first trip together was in April 2006 when we flew with our friend, Dawna, to Washington, D.C. for some musical theatre fun as well as to take engagement photos. Shaunna loves Scott Bakula and when she found out he was appearing in the musical, Shanendoah, at the Ford Theatre in D.C., well, we had to go. We begged Dawna to go with us as our chaperone and photographer. We had a great time and took lots of photos including one at the stage door with Scott Bakula himself.
Our first stop was the National Cathedral which was beautiful in the spring and a great location for lots of poising and photography. Then we went to dinner around the corner from the theatre before the show and during dinner I went to the restroom. On my way I saw this woman who looked very familiar but I couldn't place her until later when I realized it was Scott Bakula's wife. When I got back to the table, I told my sister that I had seen Scott Bakula's wife and she bested me with "We just saw Scott Bakula and his wife leaving the restaurant." Man, so close. Oh well, we got to see him in the show and afterwards at the stage door. He is such a patient and kind man.
We had a great time visiting George Washington's home at Mount Vernon and walking all over the mall over the next couple of days.
